Younger investors purchased an estimated 12 tonnes of digital gold in India from January to November, valued at Rs 16,670 crore. Despite a recent regulatory caution from Sebi, industry participants are pushing for a framework to enhance transparency and trust in this growing asset class.

Silver prices surged to record highs in India and globally on Friday, fueled by strong international trends and thin year-end trading. Domestic silver touched Rs 2,36,350 per kg, while gold also hit a new peak of Rs 1,42,300 per 10 grams.

Overall, in 2025-26, the domestic economy with adequate support from monetary and fiscal policies has effectively neutralized any adverse impact of global uncertainties. These factors would continue to remain effective in 2026-27.
